We have heard that some wells have run dry for Franklin residents on Whitebridge and Croton Roads. We have heard anecdotally that it is older wells less than 175 ft deep. Given the long hot, dry spell we have had, unfortunately this is not unusual. In addition to the possibility the dry well is due to the falling water table, it is possible that older pipes can develop leaks causing loss of water pressure. In either case, you should contact a local well driller for guidance.
The Environmental Commission with assistance from residents is tracking the issue to determine how extensive it is.
