FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP
RESOLUTION #2026-04
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR VARIOUS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for engineering, legal, planning, and auditing services to be rendered to the Township of Franklin in the County of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey during the year 2026, and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq, requires the resolution authorizing the award of contract for “Professional Services” without competitive bids must be publicly advertised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Franklin, County of Hunterdon, in the meeting assembled as follows:
- The proper township officials are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate terms to written agreements by which to retain the professional services of attorneys and others, as needed, including Municipal Attorney of the firm Lavery, Selvaggi & Cohen, P.C.; Adam Wisniewski, Township Engineer of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc., and Darlene A. Green, Municipal & COAH Planner of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc.; Heidi Wohlleb, Municipal Auditor of the firm Nisivoccia, LLP; John M. Cantalupo, Esq., Bond Counsel of the firm Archer & Greiner, P.C.
- These contracts are awarded without competitive bidding as “Professional Services” under the provisions of the Local Contract Law because services are to be rendered by a person authorized by law to practice a recognized profession whose practices are regulated by law and it is not possible to obtain competitive bids.
- A copy of this resolution shall be published in the Star-Ledger (NJ.com) as required by law.
