Quakertown Fire Company – Lock Box Project

Posted on November 8, 2024

Dear Franklin Township Residents,

The Quakertown Fire Company Community Outreach Program is offering assistance to residents aged 65 and older by providing secure, damage-free access to their homes during emergencies.

Lock Box Project Overview
The Lock Box Project equips eligible residents with a weather-resistant lock box containing a key to their home, enabling authorized emergency responders to access the residence swiftly when every moment counts.

Eligibility:
Community residents aged 65 or older.

How It Works:

  • Application: Residents fill out the attached form.
  • Submission: Completed forms can be mailed or dropped off at 67 Quakertown Road, Pittstown, NJ 08867.
  • Installation: We coordinate installation at the resident’s home.
  • Review: Proper keys should be verified in the lock box annually.

Lock Box Details:

  • Color and Identification: The lock boxes are red and labeled for fire department use, each marked with a serial number for tracking.
  • Security: Lock box codes will be securely entered into I Am Responding and submitted to the county for inclusion in incident text notes.

Benefits:

  • Faster, damage-free entry for emergency responders.
  • Enhanced safety and peace of mind for residents.

For your convenience, the flyer and application form are attached.

Thank you for helping us improve safety for our residents.
