Dear Residents,
My name is Drew Jacobs, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Raritan Headwaters Association in preparation for our 35th Annual Stream Cleanup Event on April 12th, 2025, from 9am to noon. Each year, we organize a Stream Cleanup across the Raritan Watershed to remove harmful trash and debris to help protect our native wildlife, water supply, and human health. We typically recruit over 1,400 volunteers, whose combined efforts result in the accumulation of over 14 thousand pounds of trash removed from various streams and rivers across the Raritan Watershed.
One of our planned Stream Cleanup sites is located in Franklin Township:
- Site 10: Hamden Road (40.608564, -74.906358)
- DPW: Trash pickup at small parking area near the intersection of Lower Landsdown Rd and Hamden Road; the pull off is used for fishing and the walking trail (trail that leads to Pumping Station)

Additionally, I have attached a PDF of our event flyer. Please feel free to distribute it and inform the public of this wonderful community event.
We greatly appreciate your support in helping us prepare for our 35th Annual Stream Cleanup. Please let me know if you have any further questions at this time.
Sincerely,
Drew
